Potato virus A (PVA) , the infected leaves show mild mosaic, uneven color, slight rippling leaves. Some varieties also have gangrenous spots. Co-infection of PVA with PVX or PVY results in wrinkled leaves, rippling leaves, and signs of gangrene. Transmission of PVA can be through contaminated cutting tools, or aphids in a non-persistent manner.
